Hurraw! Balm PLANTCOLOR™ No1

Hurraw! Balm’s new PLANTCOLOR™ pigments come from roots: beets, radishes and purple potatoes. 100% PLANTCOLOR™ means no iron oxides (metal), carmine (cochineal insect), or FD&C/D&C synthetic dyes and lakes (petroleum).

The process: plant roots are grown in the bright sun, soaked in the rain, pollinated by insects, made it through a full growing season and then had lots of human hands-on to complete their coloring destiny. Within a day of harvest, the root juices are extracted sprayed onto a carrier medium (maltodextrin or acacia gum), dried, milled microfine, and tested for purity.

Know that you are literally applying root vegetables to your lips and you will sense their natural taste and smell. They are lightly scented with cherry, orange and vanilla, with a smidge of sweetness from organic stevia. Citric acid is used to preserve the pigments and like all Hurraw! balms, these are loaded with organic cacao, coconut, and Montana grown organic safflower oil.
